![]() | The Appalachian Trail - Leaving Maine and beginning it's trek through New Hampshire on the east at Mt Success, the trail heads southwest entering the White Mountains National Forest. Onward to Mt Washington, the highest point in New Hampshire at 6288', the trail continues southwest through some of the most scenic areas in New England to the Old Man of the Mountains at Franconia Notch State Park. The trail exits New Hampshire at Hanover, crossing the Connecticut River and entering Vermont at Norwich. |

Picknicking facilities are available, Hike through the park and enjoy the scenery. Sunapee Lake is nearby. Rollins recreeational facility is on the southern side of the park.Camping, fishing, and hiking adventures are available throughout the area. |
