 | The Appalachian Trail - Leaving Maine and beginning it's trek through New Hampshire on the east at Mt Success, the trail heads southwest entering the White Mountains National Forest. Onward to Mt Washington, the highest point in New Hampshire at 6288', the trail continues southwest through some of the most scenic areas in New England to the Old Man of the Mountains at Franconia Notch State Park. The trail exits New Hampshire at Hanover, crossing the Connecticut River and entering Vermont at Norwich. |
 | Gile State Forest is located on Rt 4A just east of Springfield. Relax and enjoy a quiet walk through the park, and take in the sights the park has to offer. Sunapee Lake, Little Sunapee Lake and Pleasent Lake are nearby. |
 | Winslow State Park is home to Mt. Kearsarge at 2937', can be reached by going south from Wilmot Flat off Rt 11, or north from Warner off of Rt 11. Picknicking facilities are available, Hike through the park and enjoy the scenery. Sunapee Lake is nearby. Rollins recreeational facility is on the southern side of the park.Camping, fishing, and hiking adventures are available throughout the area. |
