	Take a day trip to any number of areas....a local park with a pond to a HIKE THROUGH ACADIA and enjoy the sights and fresh air. A walk along the shores or a trip throug the mountains, the rolling waves of the surf, the quiet lapping of the lake, or the gurgling of a mountain stream......enjoy the wildlife and the flowers! There are many groups in the region to lead the way! List your site!!
	Don't go unprepared! Be ready for those little surprises that nature, (and humans in general) are known for! Bring the first aid kit with sunburn spray, a topical skin treatment, tweezers, bandages and disinfectant. They come in handy! List your site!!
	The Appalachian Trail - Beginning on Mt Katahdin in Baxter State Park, the trail passes thorught the most beautiful country side in the nation. Winding through central Maine, the trail passes Pemadumcook Lake, White Cap Mountain at 3710', and the town of Bodfish as it leads to Monson on Maine Rt 15. The trail passes on the southern side of Flagstaff Lake to Bigalow Mountain at 4150'. Taking in more countryside, the trail winds southwest to Grafton Notch State Park with Old Speck Mountain, exiting Maine just west of Goose Eye Mountain. The trail enters New Hampshire at Mt Sucess.
